Facebook acquires Friendfeed

Just another average Monday, but this is big news. Why? because the FriendFeed team is a who’s who of hot developers and they’ve been moving very fast. Oh, and it’s written in Python.

This fuzzy photo after the deal was struck with Mark Zuckerberg of Facebook is reminiscent of the Microsoft gang from the 70s and is perhaps a telling marker of where the action’s at these days. I linked to the rather corporate FT news item rather than Scoble’s, for example, as a semi-ironic reference to this fact.
